One of the difficult steps in DMEK is proper centration of the donor Descemet's membrane (DM) to the recipient, inner, corneal surface. The spherical, highly polished ball is designed to facilitate moving the donor DM to any desired position within the patient's anterior chamber. Additionally, it can also be used to help unfold the DM, and smooth the donor-recipient interface. Overall length: 117mm, 4.6 inches.
