Useful in stabilizing the cataract nucleus while using a prechop forceps for dense (4+) nuclear sclerotic cataract or in the presence of weak zonules. The slim angle of the sustainer also makes it ideal for horizontal chopping of the nucleus and the rounded tip offers capsule protection during emulsification of nuclear pieces. Overall length: 123mm, 4.8 inches.
